Went to Grand Central Station today. Twas very rad.
Went to Battery Park. Didn't make it to see Libby. Did go see the Museum of American Indian History. I have to say that I was ultimately disappointed. For such an elaborate place, they didnt cover much about American Indians. Especially any tribes from my area. My grandfather was born into the Wyandotte tribe who are related to the Huron and Iroquois people... those are pretty damn recognizable tribes and there was hardly any information on any of those. I didnt see the Huron listed on their list of tribes on the continent :( I didnt see any information on the Sac and Fox or the Fox or... anything. It's like they cut out our whole part of the continent at that museum but included every other part of the country. Fuckers. Good thing it's free to go there!

I don't think I have ever seen so many French people in my life. They completely covered Battery Park and pretty much everywhere I went today. I mean, I don't know if they were french, but 90% of the people I encountered were speaking it. Some bitch was yelling at me in French cause I was in the way of her taking picture after picture of her daughter in front of that big bull statue in Wall Street. That was nice.
On the way back out of Pershing Square, I walked passed a man who pulled his penis out and began pissing on the wall shamelessly in a nonchalant manner. I didn't have time to snap a picture because my phone was off in my pocket and by the time I had it out and on, he was on his way! Shit! I am still bummed.
Our train skipped right over our stop and we had to get out in Jamaica. I got off zthe train and a rastafarian man walked up with a roach in his mouth. He lit that thing and blew a delicious smelling cloud of smoke in my direction. I got a whiff and look at him and sort of nodded at him in approval. He looked at me and said either, "Puff, mahn?" or "Blunt, mahn." I couldn't make out what he said and he was a whole foot taller than me so I just walked off.
As I came to the stairs I thought to myself, Jamaica... why does that ring a bell? Oh yeah... 50 Cent, A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, O.C, Tony Yayo... etc. Those guys are all from here.
Shit. It was pretty wild. And there is a pretty crazy atmosphere there. A bit like the neighborhood I'm staying in, only more intense. There are more murdered out cars here and drug deals out in the open and people yelling at each other... it was a long walk home.
Anyway, there's more to come. Once I get home, I'm posting photos.
Badass!!!!!! Can't wait to hear more stories bro.
